We deliver high-quality asphalt surfacing, patching, and civil projects across the ACT and surrounding regions, with a strong reputation for reliability, performance, and customer service. The WHS Officer will provide leadership to field crews, regarding all works HSEQ related and to assist management in overseeing operations from a HSEQ perspective and ensure policies/procedures are adhered to as far as reasonably practicable.  What you'll be doingManage day to day activities of work crews from a HSEQ perspective.Carry out all Health & Safety / Environmental reporting requirementsCarry out regular on site crew/depot audits (frequent travel required)Ensure monthly WHS reporting is provided to National WHS Manager Proactive use of safety systems in place (Donesafe/Smarter SafetyFacilitate/Attend Qrtly WHS meeting, via teams or in personEnsuring project deadlines are met where applicable.Conducting WHS reviewsSecuring growth opportunities and initiating new projectsShow regular on site leadership and presence - both day/nightshift Assist with contractor onboarding/monitoringAssist with ISO accreditation management/maintenanceEnsure timely closure and accurate incident investigationsWhat we're looking forMinimum Certificate IV WHSCurrent Drivers Licence Vehicle/Allowance offeredDiploma qualifications desired, not essentialDemonstrated ability in proactively building relationships with key stakeholders / team membersUnderstanding key site requirements and legislation in relation to WHS and client requestsAuditing experiencePrevious experience in similar roleMicrosoft Office suiteBasic business administration principals.Ability to work within a team.For more information about this role please contact hr@maasgroup.com.auAll vacant positions are advertised here at: Careers at Maas AUD Hume 2620
